Rocket.net is one of the first managed WordPress hosting providers to offer Cloudflare Enterprise CDN for its customers. Unlike a basic CDN, Cloudflare Enterprise leverages edge caching and smart Argo routing technology to improve efficiency and TTFB, along with features like DDoS and WAF security.
Lately, a lot of hosting providers have started offering Cloudflare Enterprise CDN for affordable prices as a default option or as an add-on.
Why consider Alternatives to Rocket.net?
Even though Rocket.net is quite good, there are a few drawbacks to it, such as a high price and a slow WordPress admin dashboard. Some customers believe that Cloudflare Enterprise masks their old, outdated, slow server.
Nonetheless, it’s natural to look for alternative options to save some money or improve performance.
Best Rocket.net Alternatives

Below are some of the best Rocket.net Alternatives that are affordable and offer similar features.
FlyingHost

A relatively new managed WordPress web hosting provider from the team behind FlyingPress, a premium WordPress cache plugin known for performance. FlyingPress is popular and praised by speed optimization experts like WP Johnny.
Unlike Rocket.net, which offers dedicated resources only on Enterprise plans, FlyingHost gives every site isolated containers with dedicated CPU, RAM, Redis, and database resources. This protects your site from noisy neighbors stealing your resources.
FlyingHost also uses high-frequency 5GHz servers and NVMe storage to speed up dynamic sites like WooCommerce, where uncacheable pages like cart, Checkout, and account management are present.
Along with the Cloudflare Enterprise plan, you also get the free FlyingPress cache plugin and Patchstack security protection built into the platform. FlyingHost on chat said they use dedicated servers and fine-tune their virtual servers to improve performance.
While I haven’t tested it yet, I have a feeling that FlyingHost might be the fastest managed WordPress hosting in real-world user experience. Their own homepage and the websites hosted on them load in a flash.
Though I’m tempted to use FlyingHost, I currently have an unmanaged netcup root servers, which offer dedicated resources.
Pricing for FlyingHost starts at $19/mo with 2 GB RAM, 4 PHP workers, and 5 GB of NVMe storage. Every single plan includes a total of 100 GB of bandwidth per month, and additional bandwidth costs $5 per 100 GB.
One drawback of FlyingHost is that every plan is priced per site, which beginners might find expensive.
Cloudways

Cloudways is another hosting provider that offers Cloudflare Enterprise CDN, but as an add-on. With Cloudways, you have ways to host your WordPress website; one is Cloudways Flexible and the other is Cloudways Autonomous.
With Cloudways Flexible, you can choose your servers from multiple cloud hosting providers such as Vultr, DigitalOcean, Linode, Google Cloud, and AWS. The base plan with 1 GB RAM and 25 GB NVMe storage supports 1 TB transfer bandwidth per month with unlimited websites and visits.
The pricing for the Cloudways Flexible starts at just $14/mo, which is billed hourly. Cloudflare Enterprise add-on pricing starts at $4.99/month per domain if you have fewer than five domains.
Cloudways Autonomous is a new feature by them that offers fully managed WordPress hosting with Cloudflare Enterprise CDN, Object Cache Pro + Relay, which dramatically improves performance.
Cloudways Autonomous is slightly more expensive than Cloudways Flexible, starts at $99/mo, and supports only one website. You get 150 GB bandwidth, 20 GB disk space, and 100 PHP Workers per server. This is more suitable for highly dynamic sites like WooCommerce.
The best thing about Cloudways is that you can scale your server anytime you want; they also offer free Object Cache Pro, migrations, etc.
I’ve used Cloudways before they started offering Cloudflare Enterprise CDN and Cloudways Autonomous; a lot has changed since then. Now they also offer managed Node.js and managed AI Agents hosting.
You can use our exclusive Cloudways promo code or current offers to get some discounts.
WPX hosting (QUIC.cloud CDN & LiteSpeed Cache)

WPX hosting offers its own built-in CDN, not Cloudflare Enterprise. I’ve tested the WPX CDN; the TTFB is very high (lower is better) and not as good as the CDN offered by Rocket.net.
However, WPX runs on the LiteSpeed web servers, which means you can use LiteSpeed Cache and QUIC.cloud CDN that can match Cloudflare Enterprise’s performance.
QUIC.cloud CDN can cache both static and dynamic WordPress pages and has 77 PoPs across the world. It also offers Image Optimization with WebP and AVIF, Page Optimization with Cloud-based processing, DDoS Protection, etc.
If you don’t want to use LiteSpeed or QUIC.cloud, you can try the premium FlyingPress cache plugin to add Cloudflare Enterprise CDN with a FlyingCDN add-on. Works with WPX or any other host.
The server performance of WPX that I tested was quite good and scored nearly ten on most of the benchmark metrics.
WPX pricing starts at $17.99/mo on the monthly plan, but you can get lower rates by choosing a longer-term billing cycle. You could also use my exclusive promo code or currently available deals to get some discounts.
Final Thoughts
While there are a few other hosting providers offering Cloudflare Enterprise CDN, I’m not fully familiar with their server hardware specs. A good, stable server is required to run dynamic pages that can’t be cached.
FlyingHost can be a great alternative to Rocket.net; offering high-frequency 5GHz servers with dedicated resources can significantly improve your WordPress backend and dynamic pages. Among these, Cloudways can be a good economical choice with the option to host unlimited websites.
